LILLIAN AXE hits the road with label-mate, SPIDER ROCKETS

Hot on the heels of their respective latest releases, ‘Waters Rising’ and ‘Ever After,’ Lillian Axe and Spider Rockets - two of the Screaming Ferret/Metro City Records label’s leading artists - will soon be embarking on a U.S. tour together. The tour will begin on Sunday, September 16th in New Jersey, and will wrap up on Saturday, October 13th in Louisiana – and will take in much of the U.S. in between. ‘Waters Rising’ is a metallic conceptual work and is Lillian Axe’s first new studio album in nearly fifteen years, while ‘Ever After’ is Spider Rockets’ third release overall, and has been drawing comparisons to such chart dominators as Velvet Revolver and Godsmack. Metal Veterans Form "The Cursed" with Debut Album Due June 26th

In the 1980s, many New Jersey-based metalheads witnessed the emergence of two bands that rocketed out of the metal underground - Overkill and Hades. Come 2007, the leaders of each band - Overkill singer Bobby ‘Blitz’ Ellsworth and Hades guitarist Dan Lorenzo – have joined forces in a new band, The Cursed, who are readying the release of their debut full-length, Room Full of Sinners, on June 26th , via the Screaming Ferret label.

OVERKILL, HADES, and NON-FICTION vets launch THE CURSED

One of the most instantly recognizable voices in all of heavy metal, Overkill’s Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth has for the first time in his career momentarily stepped out of his full-time band. With the launch of The Cursed, Ellsworth is joined by guitarist Dan Lorenzo (ex-Hades and Non-Fiction), bassist Job the Raver (Murder 1), and drummer Mike Cristi (ex-Non-Fiction). Ellsworth and Lorenzo began collaborating together in late 2005, and came up with a style that while still heavy, is a departure from the intense metal of Overkill.

New Screaming Ferret release a live NUCLEAR ASSAULT DVD

Upcoming Screaming Ferret releases include a live DVD recorded during Nuclear Assault’s performance at the 2005 Louder Harder Faster Festival. The DVD will feature three hours of footage, including the thrash legends’ complete live set, as well as vintage footage, two new music videos, two unreleased songs, in-the-studio footage, slide shows and interviews.
