RED RIGHT HAND UNLEASH UNBRIDLED METALLIC ASSAULT WITH ‘PLOTTING YOUR DEATH’

Red Right HandIf you’re looking for a pure metal album - and we’re talking pure - then the latest release from Red Right Hand, ‘Plotting Your Death’ (out now on Screaming Ferret Wreckords) is the album for you. “Red Right Hand is a metal band,” officially declares the group’s singer, Chris Kozdra. “We do not limit ourselves beyond that to a specific brand of metal. There are elements of thrash, speed, hardcore, etc. sprinkled throughout the songs.” As evidenced by such fierce ditties as “Dead To Me,” “God Said (You’re Useless),” and “All About Me,” Kozdra certainly doesn’t mince his words.

Based in Manchester, New Hampshire, Red Right Hand is comprised of some of the area’s most respected metal vets – in addition to Kozdra, the group also features guitarists Tim Koukos and Pete Demaggio, bassist Dave Ulrich, and drummer Jim Boraczek. The group has been touring and issuing albums since the close of the 20th century, and continue to rock ferociously, as evidenced throughout ‘Plotting Your Death.’

“’Plotting Your Death’ is angrier then our previous album [‘Finger Paint’],” explains Kozdra. “A lot of this is due to the great state of flux that the band went through during the recording of this album - RRH changed from a four-piece unit to a five-piece unit. We went through five bass players and two guitar players before finally getting a stable unit together. The frustration of the revolving door of membership and the length of time it was taking to record the album lead to a very angry album.”

“I really didn’t realize what an angry album ‘Plotting Your Death’ was until I had all the songs up on a time line mastering it,” adds Koukos. “And even before that, people brought it to my attention but it hadn’t hit me until then. When it hit me I was taken a back to it. I just couldn’t believe that this “anger” this “vibe” was coming from the five of us!”

With a brand new album in the racks, Red Right Hand refuses to stand still for long, as live dates in support of the album beckon, as well as a b-sides/outtakes collection. But how does Kozdra feel that a loud n’ proud metal band like Red Right Hand fit in with current wishy washy state of metal? “You really can’t worry about this kind of stuff. The state of music in general is so out of kilter right now. All we can do is put out the album and promote it the best we can.” That said, Red Right Hand couldn’t have picked a better time to unleash their hardest-hitting release to date, ‘Plotting Your Death.’
