One In Vain
One In Vain, New Release “Broken” out September 23rd 2008
One in Vain combines classic New England Hard-Core with modern and traditional metal overtones and brings an exciting and energetic sound to the music scene. Consisting of J Norstrom – Vocals, Tony Caddigan – Guitars, Joe Infantino – Bass and Derek Smith – Drums, they signed to Screaming Ferret Wreckords LLC in December of 2007.
The band hails from Ayer/Littleton Massachusetts and was formed in 2006. Jay, Tony and Joe are childhood friends and have been playing together in bands since 1999. This long-term alliance is reflected in the bands technical expertise on their new CD “Broken” and during their live performances. They have play many of the renown Boston & New England venues such as The Worcester Palladium, The Avalon Ballroom, The Paradise, Mark's Rock Club and Bills Bar. Opening for such acts as Drowning Pool, Powerman 5000, Seemless, Dope, Otep, Cage 9, Diecast, The Exies, In This Moment, Rotting Christ and
Immolation.
Concert promoter and manager Bernnie Goulet of New England Music Management, recalls the first time seeing One In Vain: “One In Vain is a band that instantly captured my attention at a show, their intensity as well as their music is something that demanded not only my attention but the crowds. Since working with them over the past year, the band's music and live show has matured incredibly fast propelling them forward as one of the premier hardcore bands in the Northeast region. I’m excited to see their debut CD scheduled for the fall. I can only expect great things from this band”.
Screaming Ferret Wreckords CEO, Tim Koukos, equally impressed with the production of “Broken”: “Tony Caddigan, the bands guitarist, tracked, mixed, produced and mastered “Broken” himself.
